Event Summary:

Teams Comments: We arrived to the location 2 hours before the event(11:00am). As soon as we arrived we asked for the client, Edith Marroquin, introduced ourselves and asked where she’d like for us to set up the promotion. She let us know she wanted it to the left hand side of her pupusas truck that way it faces oncoming foot traffic. At that point we let her know that we would meet her there at 12:30pm while we waited inside the parking lot. She said that would not be a problem, in case of any questions, she knew where were parked and would let know. While parked, at around 12:20 we noticed the food truck drive away. Since it was a gated parking lot and the parking lot was crowded, it was difficult for us to see where she was heading and by the time we exited the parking lot the truck was no where to be found. As soon as we saw her drive off, we began driving around the parade to try and find her while Soco called Gerardo Alcala to ask if there were any other phone number that we could use to get in touch with Edith. He said that was the only phone number he was given(it was a long distance salvadorian phone number) Both Soco and I could not get in touch with her simply because we aren’t able to make phone calls out of the country. Soco then remembered she had a balance of $1.00 to make out of the country phone calls and that was how we were able to get in touch with the client. As soon as we spoke to Edith, the client, she gave us an address(5 minutes distance from where we were originally). We finally arrived to 10900 New St. at 1:15pm. As soon as we got out of the car there was no space near the food truck that we could set up due to compacted side walks. We decided we would set up near the exit of the church, since that was the only space the canope would fit. The promotion begun at 1:15pm. We called Chris for approval on extending the promotion half an hour due to the client’s requests. She requested to wait until the parade moved down towards her food truck. Chris approved. Hyacinth gave away super estrella prizes through a raffle. We brought in a lot of attention. Pictures were taken. Both calls were successfully made. After leaving the promotion, we arrived safely to the radio station.
