Event Summary:
Teams Comments: We arrived to the radio station at 11:45am. There was a bit of a delay. The event name written on the agenda as we ll as the schedule both read “Penske Ontario Toyota”. When we arrived to the appropriate address, it turned out to be a Honda dealership, not what a Toyota dealership. Attention to detail is necessary on both ends in order to avoid all confusion. We immedietely asked if we could speak to John Cowan. He then told us where he’d like for us to set up and gave us a sheet filled with keypoints. As soon as we set up, as we were unfolding the canope, we realized that the canope was broken. One of the center bars used to hold the canope open was broken in half. We made an effort to keep it up by taping the pieces together, however, due to the wind, the canope immedietely fell. We presented the promotion without the canope. All prizes were given away through raffles as well as soccer games. Both call-ins successfully aired. On our drive back to the radio station, Soco rear-ended the car in front of us. Both our car and the car in front stopped in the middle of the freeway. We immedietely pulled over to the right hand side along with the car we hit. We exited the cars to confirm all passangers inside the vehicle were safe and unharmed. We called Jesus and Chris. As soon as we hung up the phone, we saw the police pulling up behind the station van. They then asked for our insurance as well as I.D’s and registration information. They told us to remain inside the vehicle while he collected the other drivers information. As soon as that was settled, the police officer went ahead and gave Soco a sheet of paper with a number imprinted. Someone from the company will need to call that number in order to recieve a full report of the incident for $10. The Locutores van also has a signal displaying that there is an issue with one of the tires. It is urgent that this problem be fixed before a serious injury arises.
